Boyacá, Colombia (UPI) – Ten tons of tomatoes were taken to Sutamarchán where at least three thousand visitors flocked to the population and enjoyed the third version of La Tomatina.
The style of the Spanish Tomatina, the Boyacá had fun with this natural product in the region.
Thousands of tomatoes unfit for consumption were fun for tourists and residents of this municipality.
“We take in this great celebration of integration and if suddenly disposes rates it or bury it would be disastrous for us because we would be polluting,” said the organizer, Jorge Gonzalez.
The tomatoes used were donated by farmers in the region, 10 tonnes of the product formed a red carpet on the soccer field Sutamarchán.
“Everyone here has fun whether small or large the world is fun and you have to come here to enjoy it,” said Gonzalo Rodriguez, tourist.
“In Colombia, war is not only weapons but can be tomato-war, Colombia is the most and here in Sutamarchán this is culture, art,” said Andres Gil, who lives in Sutamarchán.
